About the Author

Colleen spent nearly two decades training dolphins, which means she’s fluent in squeaks, splashes, and the fine art of fish bribery. She’s worked in four countries, visited at least twenty, and believes passports are just storybooks in disguise. Her love language is food (sweet and salty, yes please), and when she’s not writing or taste-testing all the things, she’s devouring sci-fi and fantasy novels like they’re sprinkled with magic and dragons are real.

Before she ever had a passport, Colleen’s first adventures happened between the pages of a book. As a kid, she maxed out her library card on the regular, then worked in both a bookstore and a library just to be closer to her happy place. Books have always been her escape, her compass, and her co-conspirators in dreaming big.

She dreams of a countryside life surrounded by dogs, cats, and lots of nature to explore. Until then, she is busy writing stories that blend heart and humour, and she takes them from her life working with dolphins.
